NEW YORK-Introductions at the New York fall tabletop show, which is in full swing here this week, tap a number of fashion, lifestyle and design directions. There are the newest licensed collections and expansions from fashion designers, chefs, event planners and the like, which have recently become de rigueur for every tabletop market. There are many new wine-tasting and varietal-specific stemware collections to sample.
There are also new collections geared for entertaining at home, which is expanding into entertaining in the outdoors. And there has been a return, in a small way, to more floral, romantic, feminine styles, which offer a contrast to the many patterns of whiteware currently available. Following form is a sampling of what can be seen at 41 Madison Ave.

AMERICAN ATELIER American Atelier is introducing Margaux, a solid-colored, scallop-edged stoneware line available in black, white or ivory stoneware and packaged in sets of four dinner plates, four mugs, etc. The line coordinates with Margaux drinkware by Crystal Clear. Coordinating directly to the Athena and Empress dinnerware patterns, Athena bakeware is available in Antique Ivory in three sizes with scrolled metal servers.
Athena is freezer-to-oven-to-table stoneware. There will also be additions to American Atelier's You're Invited collection of white hostess, bar and serving accessories that was introduced in April, including a 10-piece tea set, eight-section snail server, three-piece serving set, five-piece buffet server and a nine-piece pilsner set. ARTE ITALICA Arte Italica is introducing Splendore, a mouth-blown glass dinnerware pattern with swirls of cream and taupe, an iridescent glaze and a border beaded with Italian pewter.
ARTEL Artel is introducing Kubistik, a candlestick inspired by the Czech Cubism movement of the early 1900s available in four colors-garnet, amber, crystal and cobalt. The company is also highlighting the Carp Vase, a hand-blown piece that is sandblasted to give it a pearl sheen, then hand-engraved, hand-painted and hand-gilded, as well as Glacier Collection, which includes double old-fashioned glasses and a vase. To build on the success of its Midnight Black and Midnight Rouge glassware, Artland will introduce three colors to this collection: amethyst, olive and blue.
Collections range from stemmed goblets to martinis to double old-fashioneds. Each item is handmade from colored glass, bringing quality and fashion together at value price points. Retail prices range from $3.99 to $4.99. Under the Williamsburg license, Artland's Shrub Collection is a new basic.

ARTHUR COURT New from Arthur Court is the Fleur-de-lis tray, a classic design that will retail for a suggested $35. BIA CORDON BLEU Petit Festin is new from Philippe Deshouliers, a colorful children's tableware based on a story of a sweet-toothed princess and the spotted king. BIA is also featuring classic ramekins, bakers, souffles, egg cups, egg plates, wavy bakeware and more in pastel shades.
BRIDGET DOBSON STUDIOS From Bridget Dobson's fine china range comes Copa de Oro in red or blue. A five-piece place setting retails for $300. CAMBRIDGE SILVERSMITHS Cambridge will feature the Studio William line seal of flatware from British designer William Welch.
All the designs reflect an elegant, feminine and contemporary style, designed for the housewares and bridal markets. The company will also be showing its Fiesta flatware in an assortment of stainless and solid-color flatware. CARDEW DESIGN Cardew comes to market with a new licensed collection by event designer Preston Bailey called Brocade.
It includes dinnerware in 24-karat gold and crystal stemware with a 24-karat gold silk-screen decoration. In addition, Cardew is featuring Egizia Dottino handmade Italian crystal by designer Paola Navone. The pattern is silver using a silk-screen process, and the tray and cocktail stirrers are silver-plate.
CCA CCA is introducing Orbit, an embossed stoneware dinnerware pattern available in Spice, Paprika, Olive, Chocolate and White, as well as Sphere, an embossed stoneware set available in Haze, Taupe and Celadon. CIRCLE GLASS Circle Glass is introducing six items: the Longitude 10-piece cooler set; the Patisserie five-piece serving set, which includes a cake stand and four dessert plates; the Quench 10-piece pilsner set; the Malibu set of four dessert plates in assorted colors; the New Yorker four-piece platinum candle sticks; and the Cambria four-piece amber goblet. CLAY ART Clay Art will showcase two full-line collections at this market: Wildflower and Serrano, both of which are hand-painted and dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
Wildflower is executed in orange, red and turquoise on a cream background with a green vinelike border. The line includes a two-piece entertainment set (a platter and dip bowl), four-piece dip bowl set, oblong platter, dinner plate, appetizer plate, mug and soup bowl. Retail prices range from $7.99 to 39.99. Serrano features a hot chili pepper motif and includes a two-piece entertainment set, oblong tray, tortilla warmer, three-section condiment server, serving bowl (5.
5 quart), divided serving tray, dinner plate, salad plate, soup bowl, mug and salsa machines bowl. Retails also range from $7.99 to $39.99. CRYSTAL CLEAR Among the new items from Crystal Clear are additions to the Alexandria line of casual, contemporary glass serveware and decorative accessories. New to the line are an oil/vinegar/salt/pepper set with rack, a two-tiered server, chip 'n dip and four-piece bath set.
The Providence collection is expanding with a flared bowl, platter, sectional, footed cake plate and footed compote. DENBY White Squares joins Denby's White Collection of porcelain dinnerware, featuring its take on the square plate trend. Nine oversized pieces make up the collection, including a buffet saucer and an oblong platter, among others.
DESIGN GUILD Design Guild, a division of Crystal Clear Home, is introducing Fantasy, a collection of oversized art glass pieces handcrafted in black art glass and machines defined by a multicolored swirl. The collection includes an oversized bottle, platter, bowls and vases. DEVINE CORP. DeVine Corp. will showcase introductions from a number of brands: Petit Trianon and Ombrages from Raynaud; Big Bang from Jaune de Chrome; and Exotica from Lynn Chase Designs.
From Niderviller there is an extensive whiteware collection called Grand Siecle. There are three different five-piece place settings in this collection and they range from $114 to $168. EURO CERAMICA One of Euro Ceramica's newest lines, the Stitches Collection, takes its cue from the fashion world.
The collection is available in a leather brown with white "stitching" or in white with brown "stitching." The collection is available as a 16-piece set that includes four four-piece place settings and also include such accessories as a serving bowl, round dessert plate, and sugar and creamer. Another introduction is the Puccini Collection, which includes dinner and salad plates and soup bowls, as well as the St.
Tropez Collection, which features a glazed white exterior with a green interior. St. Tropez is available in a 16-piece set, including four four-piece place settings. Another new item is the Studio Collection, a porcelain set in modern shapes with multicolored floral patterns.
FIFTH AVENUE CRYSTAL Fifth Avenue Crystal is adding to its popular Estate collection a three-part section dish and a baguette tray. The Portico collection continues to grow with more unusual table accessories and gift items, a two-in-one footed covered cake plate/chip 'n dip server among them. And there is the Eva set of three torches in three sizes, which come with tea lights and photo gift box.
GIBSON The new Gibson Elite line of dinnerware, flatware and glassware is a result fill of a collaboration with Gibson's department and specialty store customers. A crucial aspect in the development of the new Elite line has been the packaging, designed to help retailers appeal to the many emotional aspects of home fashions. The Elite line of fine tableware encompasses a variety of materials, shapes and finishes, and is clearly differentiated from Gibson's Everyday brand.
GODINGER Among Godinger's many introductions is the Popcorn Machine Candy Dispenser, a novelty barware/serveware item that retails for $29.99, as well as Heritage by Godinger, which includes bone china collections as well as 20-piece hanging flatware sets on a caddy. HEREND Two of Herend's newest figurines include Chipmunk With Berries, which comes in all seven fishnet colors-black, blue, butterscotch, chocolate, green, raspberry and rust-plus the natural coloration and has a suggested retail price of $345 each, and Little Duckling, which is also available in all seven fishnet colors and retails for $235 each.
Other new figurines are a Pekinese and pair of chicks. There is also a new dinnerware pattern called Princess Victoria and several new Chinese-inspired fancies, such as candlestick with mandarin, covered box with mandarin, mandarin on leaf and Chinese knife rests, as well jam jar with strawberry, jam jar with bee and flower, jam jar with orange slice, leaf dish with butterfly and vase on square base. HOMER LAUGHLIN The Homer Laughlin China Co.
will feature its new line of Fiesta flatware, the result of its new licensing agreement with Cambridge Silversmiths. LENOX Lenox is coming to market with two new licensed collections, by artist and author Sandra Magsamen, who is focusing on giftware in the Simply Said collection, and stationery designer Anna Griffin, who is offering a full tabletop collection called Accoutrements that has an antique look and a nostalgic feel. In addition, there is the Lazy Lambs line from Lenox, a baby giftware collection, in ivory porcelain with pink and blue polka dots.
Items include a divided bowl, cup, frame bank and feeding set, among others. From Dansk comes a new dinnerware line, new glassware and a new wood collection. The dinnerware is called Tronada (Spanish for tornado), a stoneware collection featuring a textured pattern of lines that cover the rim and outside surfaces on the dinnerware.
There are two colorways, black and white. A cast aluminum salad set is adorned with similar threadlike linear texture to complement the line. New York designer Neil Cohen created the DesignArt Wood collection, made of European beech with American walnut accents.
Ditto glassware takes the use of kroziel (adhered crushed glass) to its extreme, combining large bits of brightly colored glass with fluid shapes. From Gorham there is Rose Serenade, a new dinnerware pattern decorated with a fresh rose motif. A contemporary embossed leaf design accents the plates and bowls, while color blossoms on the underside of each plate and on the inside of the mugs.
A matching platter, pitcher, vegetable bowl, drinkware and stainless-steel flatware is also available. Also from Gorham is the Peek A Boo baby collection, consisting of six metal giftware items (frames, a photo album, bank, feeding cup, spoon and fork set, and a birth certificate holder). Each piece features pastel-colored enamel squares with cute animal cut-outs.
LIBBEY Inspired by the combination of color and drink, Libbey introduces Ka-Dinks. Within the set of four, each glass contains two vibrant colors paired for a bold look. This line includes a cooler, martini, margarita and poco, and will range in price from $9.

The new Selene punch bowl is a 10-piece set that includes a bowl, ladle and eight cups for a suggested retail of $29.99. The Table Settings line is the newest addition to Libbey's entertaining sets meant to simplify preparation. The glassware collection includes four-piece sets of wine glasses, coolers, double old-fashioneds and all-purpose goblets in various styles and shapes.
Each package will include a schematic of proper table setting illustrated on the inner flap of the box. The suggested retail price ranges from $9.99 to $14.99. LIFETIME BRANDS Wallace Silversmiths is offering two new 18/10 stainless-steel flatware patterns, Gabriella and Silhouette.
They will both be sold in 65-piece sets for $100 retail. Towle is also introducing two 18/10 stainless steel-flatware patterns, Old Colonial and Paul Revere. The retail price for both is $60 for a 20-piece set.
Two dinnerware patterns debut from Joseph Abboud-Mahogany Circles ( a gray dinner plate with an oxblood center), which retails for $89.99 for a 16-piece set, and Desert Crossing (intersecting black lines on a sand-colored background), which retails for $119.99 for a 16-piece set. There are several introductions from Pfaltzgraff, including a new collection called Circle of Kindness, which is based on the book by the same name from author Jana Kolpen, who also inspired two previous collections for Pfaltzgraff.
A five-piece place setting retails for $43; a 16-piece set is $143. Accessories and serveware pieces range from $10 to $57. In addition, there are four new stoneware patterns: Swoop, Caravan, Sundance and Seychelles.
Swoop is all white in a variety of fluid shapes; Caravan has a brown reactive glaze featuring an interpretation of tribal African motifs with the look of tooled leather; Sundance features an organic curly vine design in rich brown and gold, with reactive glazes; and Seychelles features craftlike embossed shapes with reactive glazes in two palettes, Blue Lagoon and Sea Green. Sundance, Caravan and Seychelles each retail for $114.50 for a 16-piece set, while Swoop retails for $143 for a 16-piece set.
From Block China comes Windswept, a bone china introduction whose new shape is part of the new Beautiful Basics collection. Beautiful Basics features a series of evolutionary whiteware shapes that can stand alone or interplay with each other. There will also be nature-inspired patterns that can be layered in to create even more drama on the table.
Block's new Palladium collection features hand-glazed finishes on an updated neoclassic shape. The design blends craftsmanship with richly detailed fluting and medallions. It is available in chestnut, cobalt, forest and ivory.
Following on the success of its Kyoto collection, Sasaki has created a classic Asian-inspired dinnerware collection that features petal borders and a shape reminiscent of a chrysanthemum, the Japanese symbol for health, happiness and well-being. The pattern interplays high gloss with matte finishes that result in a simple sophistication that has broad appeal. Dynasty will be part of a lifestyle statement that features art glass, crystal stemware and ceramic giftware.
It is available in bronze, lacquer red, plum, black and ivory. MAGENTA In its new showroom at 7 W. 34th St., Magenta will feature its new Aqua Luxe collection of white and aqua dinnerware, edged in gold. There are studded stacking bowls, as well as a rose-shaped bowl.
MARIPOSA Mariposa extends its String of Pearls line with a three-tiered cupcake server. In the Life's a Beach collection, there is a new lifeguard chair napkin holder, sunglass server and bikini girl bottle opener. A spiral oval platter debuts in Palais, while a large sand dollar bowl is new to the Deep Blue Sea collection.
There are also tulip water and wine glasses, with colored bowls in bubbled glass, in the Glitz line. MEDALLION Medallion, a division of Crystal Clear Home, is adding new items to Napa, its mouth-blown barware line. New pieces include a handled duck decanter, ball decanter and tower decanter.
MEDARD DE NOBLAT The latest Limoges dinnerware creations from Medard de Noblat include Nuit and Etoile. Nuit mixes flower and foliage in burgundy and white in a reverse color pattern. Etoile, a contemporary pattern, features fine lines that connect platinum stars.
MOMO PANACHE MoMo Panache is introducing the Paradise collection of goblet and martini glasses. While its signature glassware is often cut and paint, Paradise features four assorted colors of colored dots of glass, each with a different cut. They are dishwasher-safe. A second new pattern is called Carnivale.
MONO Mono is showcasing its new line of Pott 18/10 stainless-steel flatware designed by Carl Pott. One feature of this design is the five-tined fork. MOSER Moser is introducing a set of six Whisky Shot Glasses suggested to retail for $115.
MUSTARDSEED & MOONSHINE From Mustardseed & Moonshine comes its newest Orchid teacups, available in Bellina Green, Shamrock, Pinata Pacific and Sonoma. All are handmade of earthenware and are microwave, oven- and dishwasher-safe, imported from South Africa and retail for $95 each. NIKKO Among Nikko's newest patterns are Sweet Innocence, which features a white bone china body with textured border and platinum banding; Pearl Harmony, a bone china set with a soft mica rim border, a translucent white bone china body and platinum band; and Luxe White, a wide-bordered design in bone china with a soft crackle effect and a platinum band.
NORITAKE Noritake is taking a fresh, new design approach in transitional dinnerware with two new collections, Tempo and Island, each consisting of three distinct patterns. On a fine china body, each conceived as an integrated group, for mix and matchability, the collections will be sold as open stock. The collections include a range of square-shaped items.
Swing, Jive and Combo make up the Tempo collection-three highly stylized, free-flowing floral applications in dramatic colorations. The collection has a sophisticated, contemporary flair, with black and wine-red dominating the color palette. The Island collection, so-named for its lush, tropical floral design and exotic look, features deep blue tones and earthy greens.
The three patterns are Blue Harbor, Blue Lagoon and Blue Isle. The two collections are completed with the introduction of matching stemless glassware made of a lead-free material that contains magnesium. Two patterns, one complementing each of the two collections, are applied by a sandblasting technique on the clear, stemless bowls in two sizes, a red wine and a white wine.
Retail prices range from $15 to $125.
There are two new glassware collections. Mag, made with the same magnesium-based formula, is available in both stemmed and stemless versions, with a clear bowl design. There are six sizes-goblet, flute champagne, white wine, red wine, stemless red wine and stemless white wine in six sizes.
The retail price is $50 for a boxed set of four. Fidelio is an elegant, formal stemware pattern featuring an optic shape, a twisted stem and metallic accents, both on the rim and at the top of the stem. It is available in both gold and in platinum, and in four sizes, priced at $22.

ODIOT From Odiot, which is being distributed by Julia Watts, comes the Gold Berry collection, including a fruit bowl and candleholder, and the Demidoff service, re-edited versions of silver pieces commissioned in 1817, including a tureen and a double salt cellar. ONEIDA Oneida is offering two new dinnerware patterns, Atlantis and Solare. Atlantis is a classically inspired seaside pattern done in hand-painted earthenware.
The collection's organic shapes and textures are highlighted with the color combination of a cream base partnered by soft distressed accents. Solare provides an updated approach to reactive glaze, using a luster glaze to create a metallic sheen to each color and pattern. The collection includes a wide range of color, pattern and shape.
PASABAHCE Pasabahce is introducing the Denizli by Pasabahce Collection, which includes the Love double votive holder, the Adrian pierced decanter collection in clear and chocolate and Amanda stemware, which featured thick rounded stems and are available in a goblet, wine and fluted champagne. PORTMEIRION Following on the heels of the success of Botanic Roses, an exclusive dinnerware collection for Federated, Portmeirion's Design Studio created Rose Bouquet for the casual segment of the market. The pattern features an all-over medley of roses in several colors.
The company will also unveil line extensions to the successful collections introduced in the spring, including Sophie Conran, Laura Stoddart, Botanic Blue and Crazy Daisy, as well as Botanic Garden and Pomona (including textiles). Four new items for Blue Danube will also be shown. PRECIDIO Precidio's new Collection line includes a tray with handles, platter, shaker, salad plate and coasters in the following patterns: cobalt, inlay, ostrich, snake, zebra and leopard.
There are also canisters in spa blue and white. PRIMA DONNA Prima Donna Designs is showing the Classique Collection, which was introduced early this year. In this collection, original artwork designs were transformed on dense glass platters.
Among the patterns in the collection's Botanicals are Fleurs de Provence, Maison de Jardin, Garden Herbs and House of Orchids, all artworks by Angela Staehling. The patterns come in 14-inch square glass platters and a set of four assorted 6-inch-square glass dishes. Also from the Classique Collection are the tapestry artworks by Lehman Laurel on glass platters and dishes.
Matching the platters' look and colors is a set of four 6-inch-square individual lily portrait dishes. RAYNAUD Raynaud is highlighting Ombrages, which retails for $366 for a five-piece place setting, and Petit Trianon, which retails for $300. RCR RCR is offering the Fusion collection of glassware under its FreeLife by Royal Crystal Rock brand.
The design combines two geometric elements, the cube and the sphere, in a modern collection of drinkware and accessories. REED & BARTON Reed & Barton's introductions this market include additions to existing collections, as well as a wide assortment of new designs and concepts. In addition to a new stainless-steel flatware pattern, new items range from silver-plated children's gifts and frames to crystal giftware, stemware and barware to handcrafted wooden chests.
Riverton is the new 18/10 flatware collection, featuring crisp fluting and architectural hollow-handle design. It retails for $52. A new polished-aluminum collection, The Arbor, features dramatic, nature-inspired shapes that go from freezer to oven to table. Prices range from $25 to $125. A second aluminum line, MetalWorks, includes sets of salt and pepper shakers designed by Ran Lerner (Cone, Maracas and Caddy).
They retail for $30 per pair.
Two crystal collections debut from Miller Rogaska. The Weston Caged Collection reflects the centuries-old art of European glass blowing, in which artisans hand-blow molten glass into intricate wire cages to achieve these sculpted, dramatic shapes. The Capri Collection, meanwhile, is defined by vibrant colors and contemporary shapes in which artists combined multiple layers of glass in shades of azure and cobalt, blue and amethyst, and azure and lime.
Prices range from $70 to $90.
RIEDEL Riedel is offering its Cornetto decanter, its best-selling decanter shape, in black. It will be produced in two sizes: The Cornetto Black single will retail for $195, and the Cornetto Black Magnum will retail for $235. RITZENHOFF Ritzenhoff is introducing several designs and whimsical additions, such as glasses for cocktails lovers and new colorful home decor accents.
ROSANNA Among Rosanna's highlights are Chelsea Flowers, dessert plates and platters adorned with vintage florals; Tea's Me, a set of two-toned teacups and saucers; Tea For Me, Too!, a tea set for children; Soda Fountain, ice scream bowls, soda cups and sundae bowls, as well as dessert plates, with a twist to '50s-inspired soda fountain favorites; and Playing House, dessert plates with mixing bowls and cake stands in soft shades. There is also Sweet Dreams, bowls decorated in 25 favorite ice cream flavors, sales proceeds for which benefit a non-profit organization; Parisian Wallpaper, black-and-white baroque designs on dishes, mugs and glasses; Wine Tasting, dishes adorned with descriptive wine words; Party Raffle, which includes six different plates, mugs, coasters and wineglass designs adorned with raffle numbers; and Etched Dot glassware. King's Road, a tea and dessert that features crowns in 24-karat gold; White Dinner Plates, scallop-edged dinner plates in basic white porcelain; Dauphine Candlesticks, inspired by 18th-century France; and Rosanna Bowls, simple bowls in six California colors and two sizes are also options.
ROSENTHAL Rosenthal is featuring A La Carte, a new Studio Line collection featuring six distinctive porcelain styles with organic, sculptural forms. The collection includes titanium-treated, copper-colored round and square chargers, as well as accent plates, bowls and candlesticks. The new Blockglas collection of vases and bowls have faceted cuts and irregular structures.
There are also three new Studio Line vases created by leading designers. The new Opening vase by the designer duo Little Wonder is a classically shaped vase featuring a neck that resembles shattered eggshells. New Vita grooved vases and bowls by Johan van Loon are crafted in white porcelain and resemble waves.
Taped vases by Pieke Bergmans are unusually crafted with porcelain bands taped around the form like a plaster cast. Rosenthal is also introducing Network, laced glass bowls by Harry & Camilia in the dramatic form of a tangle of glass threads. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its highly successful Suomi porcelain dinnerware pattern, Rosenthal has crafted the new Suomi Celebration collection.
New decor runs like a scissor cut across the porcelain in a fine gold-silver-gray appearance, creating a discretely colored accent on the white form. Previously successful Studio-Line vases such as Plissee, Tectonics, Flux and Tri-Turn, as well as the Studio-Line Table Wear Collection, Wave and Free Spirit candlesticks, shine in a new titanium-treated copper optic. Following the success of the Vase of Phases line, Rosenthal is introducing similarly styled cocktail glasses and porcelain bowls.
There is also a drinking glass series called Hula Hoop. In the Thomas division, the new No Limit 2006 porcelain collection reflects a modern lifestyle, an aesthetic design in an edited assortment of multifunctional products. The range includes 15 items. The No Limit 2005 line expands in six colors: red, yellow, orange, pastel yellow, pastel blue and pastel green.
The new Vanity line from Versace features a complex baroque design in hues of dark blue and gold. The Tresor de la Mer collection by Versace expands with an assortment of giftware, and the Arabesque sand-blown glass collection now features new Amber with a chic ivory shade. ROYAL CHINA & SPODE COS. RCPC has signed a licensing agreement with textiles designer Kim Parker for a new line of dinnerware, giftware and accessories under the Spode brand.

AMERICAN ATELIER American Atelier is introducing Margaux, a solid-colored, scallop-edged stoneware line available in black, white or ivory stoneware and packaged in sets of four dinner plates, four mugs, etc. The line coordinates with Margaux drinkware by Crystal Clear. Coordinating directly to the Athena and Empress dinnerware patterns, Athena bakeware is available in Antique Ivory in three sizes with scrolled metal servers.
Athena is freezer-to-oven-to-table stoneware. There will also be additions to American Atelier's You're Invited collection of white hostess, bar and serving accessories that was introduced in April, including a 10-piece tea set, eight-section snail server, three-piece serving set, five-piece buffet server and a nine-piece pilsner set. ARTE ITALICA Arte Italica is introducing Splendore, a mouth-blown glass dinnerware pattern with swirls of cream and taupe, an iridescent glaze and a border beaded with Italian pewter.
ARTEL Artel is introducing Kubistik, a candlestick inspired by the Czech Cubism movement of the early 1900s available in four colors-garnet, amber, crystal and cobalt. The company is also highlighting the Carp Vase, a hand-blown piece that is sandblasted to give it a pearl sheen, then hand-engraved, hand-painted and hand-gilded, as well as Glacier Collection, which includes double old-fashioned glasses and a vase. To build on the success of its Midnight Black and Midnight Rouge glassware, Artland will introduce three colors to this collection: amethyst, olive and blue.
Collections range from stemmed goblets to martinis to double old-fashioneds. Each item is handmade from colored glass, bringing quality and fashion together at value price points. Retail prices range from $3.99 to $4.99. Under the Williamsburg license, Artland's Shrub Collection is a new basic.

ARTHUR COURT New from Arthur Court is the Fleur-de-lis tray, a classic design that will retail for a suggested $35. BIA CORDON BLEU Petit Festin is new from Philippe Deshouliers, a colorful children's tableware based on a story of a sweet-toothed princess and the spotted king. BIA is also featuring classic ramekins, bakers, souffles, egg cups, egg plates, wavy bakeware and more in pastel shades.
BRIDGET DOBSON STUDIOS From Bridget Dobson's fine china range comes Copa de Oro in red or blue. A five-piece place setting retails for $300. CAMBRIDGE SILVERSMITHS Cambridge will feature the Studio William line seal of flatware from British designer William Welch.
All the designs reflect an elegant, feminine and contemporary style, designed for the housewares and bridal markets. The company will also be showing its Fiesta flatware in an assortment of stainless and solid-color flatware. CARDEW DESIGN Cardew comes to market with a new licensed collection by event designer Preston Bailey called Brocade.
It includes dinnerware in 24-karat gold and crystal stemware with a 24-karat gold silk-screen decoration. In addition, Cardew is featuring Egizia Dottino handmade Italian crystal by designer Paola Navone. The pattern is silver using a silk-screen process, and the tray and cocktail stirrers are silver-plate.
CCA CCA is introducing Orbit, an embossed stoneware dinnerware pattern available in Spice, Paprika, Olive, Chocolate and White, as well as Sphere, an embossed stoneware set available in Haze, Taupe and Celadon. CIRCLE GLASS Circle Glass is introducing six items: the Longitude 10-piece cooler set; the Patisserie five-piece serving set, which includes a cake stand and four dessert plates; the Quench 10-piece pilsner set; the Malibu set of four dessert plates in assorted colors; the New Yorker four-piece platinum candle sticks; and the Cambria four-piece amber goblet. CLAY ART Clay Art will showcase two full-line collections at this market: Wildflower and Serrano, both of which are hand-painted and dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
Wildflower is executed in orange, red and turquoise on a cream background with a green vinelike border. The line includes a two-piece entertainment set (a platter and dip bowl), four-piece dip bowl set, oblong platter, dinner plate, appetizer plate, mug and soup bowl. Serrano features a hot chili pepper motif and includes a two-piece entertainment set, oblong tray, tortilla warmer, three-section condiment server, serving bowl (5.

CRYSTAL CLEAR Among the new items from Crystal Clear are additions to the Alexandria line of casual, contemporary glass serveware and decorative accessories. New to the line are an oil/vinegar/salt/pepper set with rack, a two-tiered server, chip 'n dip and four-piece bath set.
The Providence collection is expanding with a flared bowl, platter, sectional, footed cake plate and footed compote. DENBY White Squares joins Denby's White Collection of porcelain dinnerware, featuring its take on the square plate trend. Nine oversized pieces make up the collection, including a buffet saucer and an oblong platter, among others.
DESIGN GUILD Design Guild, a division of Crystal Clear Home, is introducing Fantasy, a collection of oversized art glass pieces handcrafted in black art glass and machines defined by a multicolored swirl. The collection includes an oversized bottle, platter, bowls and vases. DEVINE CORP. DeVine Corp. will showcase introductions from a number of brands: Petit Trianon and Ombrages from Raynaud; Big Bang from Jaune de Chrome; and Exotica from Lynn Chase Designs.
From Niderviller there is an extensive whiteware collection called Grand Siecle. There are three different five-piece place settings in this collection and they range from $114 to $168. EURO CERAMICA One of Euro Ceramica's newest lines, the Stitches Collection, takes its cue from the fashion world.
The collection is available in a leather brown with white "stitching" or in white with brown "stitching." The collection is available as a 16-piece set that includes four four-piece place settings and also include such accessories as a serving bowl, round dessert plate, and sugar and creamer. Another introduction is the Puccini Collection, which includes dinner and salad plates and soup bowls, as well as the St.
Tropez Collection, which features a glazed white exterior with a green interior. St. Tropez is available in a 16-piece set, including four four-piece place settings. Another new item is the Studio Collection, a porcelain set in modern shapes with multicolored floral patterns.
FIFTH AVENUE CRYSTAL Fifth Avenue Crystal is adding to its popular Estate collection a three-part section dish and a baguette tray. The Portico collection continues to grow with more unusual table accessories and gift items, a two-in-one footed covered cake plate/chip 'n dip server among them. And there is the Eva set of three torches in three sizes, which come with tea lights and photo gift box.
GIBSON The new Gibson Elite line of dinnerware, flatware and glassware is a result fill of a collaboration with Gibson's department and specialty store customers. A crucial aspect in the development of the new Elite line has been the packaging, designed to help retailers appeal to the many emotional aspects of home fashions. The Elite line of fine tableware encompasses a variety of materials, shapes and finishes, and is clearly differentiated from Gibson's Everyday brand.
GODINGER Among Godinger's many introductions is the Popcorn Machine Candy Dispenser, a novelty barware/serveware item that retails for $29.99, as well as Heritage by Godinger, which includes bone china collections as well as 20-piece hanging flatware sets on a caddy. HEREND Two of Herend's newest figurines include Chipmunk With Berries, which comes in all seven fishnet colors-black, blue, butterscotch, chocolate, green, raspberry and rust-plus the natural coloration and has a suggested retail price of $345 each, and Little Duckling, which is also available in all seven fishnet colors and retails for $235 each.
Other new figurines are a Pekinese and pair of chicks. There is also a new dinnerware pattern called Princess Victoria and several new Chinese-inspired fancies, such as candlestick with mandarin, covered box with mandarin, mandarin on leaf and Chinese knife rests, as well jam jar with strawberry, jam jar with bee and flower, jam jar with orange slice, leaf dish with butterfly and vase on square base. HOMER LAUGHLIN The Homer Laughlin China Co.
will feature its new line of Fiesta flatware, the result of its new licensing agreement with Cambridge Silversmiths. LENOX Lenox is coming to market with two new licensed collections, by artist and author Sandra Magsamen, who is focusing on giftware in the Simply Said collection, and stationery designer Anna Griffin, who is offering a full tabletop collection called Accoutrements that has an antique look and a nostalgic feel. In addition, there is the Lazy Lambs line from Lenox, a baby giftware collection, in ivory porcelain with pink and blue polka dots.
Items include a divided bowl, cup, frame bank and feeding set, among others. From Dansk comes a new dinnerware line, new glassware and a new wood collection. The dinnerware is called Tronada (Spanish for tornado), a stoneware collection featuring a textured pattern of lines that cover the rim and outside surfaces on the dinnerware.
There are two colorways, black and white. A cast aluminum salad set is adorned with similar threadlike linear texture to complement the line. New York designer Neil Cohen created the DesignArt Wood collection, made of European beech with American walnut accents.
Ditto glassware takes the use of kroziel (adhered crushed glass) to its extreme, combining large bits of brightly colored glass with fluid shapes. From Gorham there is Rose Serenade, a new dinnerware pattern decorated with a fresh rose motif. A contemporary embossed leaf design accents the plates and bowls, while color blossoms on the underside of each plate and on the inside of the mugs.
A matching platter, pitcher, vegetable bowl, drinkware and stainless-steel flatware is also available. Also from Gorham is the Peek A Boo baby collection, consisting of six metal giftware items (frames, a photo album, bank, feeding cup, spoon and fork set, and a birth certificate holder). Each piece features pastel-colored enamel squares with cute animal cut-outs.
LIBBEY Inspired by the combination of color and drink, Libbey introduces Ka-Dinks. Within the set of four, each glass contains two vibrant colors paired for a bold look. This line includes a cooler, martini, margarita and poco, and will range in price from $9.

The new Selene punch bowl is a 10-piece set that includes a bowl, ladle and eight cups for a suggested retail of $29.99. The Table Settings line is the newest addition to Libbey's entertaining sets meant to simplify preparation. The glassware collection includes four-piece sets of wine glasses, coolers, double old-fashioneds and all-purpose goblets in various styles and shapes.
Each package will include a schematic of proper table setting illustrated on the inner flap of the box. The suggested retail price ranges from $9.99 to $14.99. LIFETIME BRANDS Wallace Silversmiths is offering two new 18/10 stainless-steel flatware patterns, Gabriella and Silhouette.
They will both be sold in 65-piece sets for $100 retail. Towle is also introducing two 18/10 stainless steel-flatware patterns, Old Colonial and Paul Revere. The retail price for both is $60 for a 20-piece set.
Two dinnerware patterns debut from Joseph Abboud-Mahogany Circles ( a gray dinner plate with an oxblood center), which retails for $89.99 for a 16-piece set, and Desert Crossing (intersecting black lines on a sand-colored background), which retails for $119.99 for a 16-piece set. There are several introductions from Pfaltzgraff, including a new collection called Circle of Kindness, which is based on the book by the same name from author Jana Kolpen, who also inspired two previous collections for Pfaltzgraff.
A five-piece place setting retails for $43; a 16-piece set is $143. Accessories and serveware pieces range from $10 to $57. In addition, there are four new stoneware patterns: Swoop, Caravan, Sundance and Seychelles.
Swoop is all white in a variety of fluid shapes; Caravan has a brown reactive glaze featuring an interpretation of tribal African motifs with the look of tooled leather; Sundance features an organic curly vine design in rich brown and gold, with reactive glazes; and Seychelles features craftlike embossed shapes with reactive glazes in two palettes, Blue Lagoon and Sea Green. Sundance, Caravan and Seychelles each retail for $114.50 for a 16-piece set, while Swoop retails for $143 for a 16-piece set.
From Block China comes Windswept, a bone china introduction whose new shape is part of the new Beautiful Basics collection. Beautiful Basics features a series of evolutionary whiteware shapes that can stand alone or interplay with each other. There will also be nature-inspired patterns that can be layered in to create even more drama on the table.
Block's new Palladium collection features hand-glazed finishes on an updated neoclassic shape. The design blends craftsmanship with richly detailed fluting and medallions. It is available in chestnut, cobalt, forest and ivory.
Following on the success of its Kyoto collection, Sasaki has created a classic Asian-inspired dinnerware collection that features petal borders and a shape reminiscent of a chrysanthemum, the Japanese symbol for health, happiness and well-being. The pattern interplays high gloss with matte finishes that result in a simple sophistication that has broad appeal. Dynasty will be part of a lifestyle statement that features art glass, crystal stemware and ceramic giftware.
It is available in bronze, lacquer red, plum, black and ivory. MAGENTA In its new showroom at 7 W. 34th St., Magenta will feature its new Aqua Luxe collection of white and aqua dinnerware, edged in gold. There are studded stacking bowls, as well as a rose-shaped bowl.
MARIPOSA Mariposa extends its String of Pearls line with a three-tiered cupcake server. In the Life's a Beach collection, there is a new lifeguard chair napkin holder, sunglass server and bikini girl bottle opener. A spiral oval platter debuts in Palais, while a large sand dollar bowl is new to the Deep Blue Sea collection.
There are also tulip water and wine glasses, with colored bowls in bubbled glass, in the Glitz line. MEDALLION Medallion, a division of Crystal Clear Home, is adding new items to Napa, its mouth-blown barware line. New pieces include a handled duck decanter, ball decanter and tower decanter.
MEDARD DE NOBLAT The latest Limoges dinnerware creations from Medard de Noblat include Nuit and Etoile. Nuit mixes flower and foliage in burgundy and white in a reverse color pattern. Etoile, a contemporary pattern, features fine lines that connect platinum stars.
MOMO PANACHE MoMo Panache is introducing the Paradise collection of goblet and martini glasses. While its signature glassware is often cut and paint, Paradise features four assorted colors of colored dots of glass, each with a different cut. They are dishwasher-safe. A second new pattern is called Carnivale.
MONO Mono is showcasing its new line of Pott 18/10 stainless-steel flatware designed by Carl Pott. One feature of this design is the five-tined fork. MOSER Moser is introducing a set of six Whisky Shot Glasses suggested to retail for $115.
MUSTARDSEED & MOONSHINE From Mustardseed & Moonshine comes its newest Orchid teacups, available in Bellina Green, Shamrock, Pinata Pacific and Sonoma. All are handmade of earthenware and are microwave, oven- and dishwasher-safe, imported from South Africa and retail for $95 each. NIKKO Among Nikko's newest patterns are Sweet Innocence, which features a white bone china body with textured border and platinum banding; Pearl Harmony, a bone china set with a soft mica rim border, a translucent white bone china body and platinum band; and Luxe White, a wide-bordered design in bone china with a soft crackle effect and a platinum band.
NORITAKE Noritake is taking a fresh, new design approach in transitional dinnerware with two new collections, Tempo and Island, each consisting of three distinct patterns. On a fine china body, each conceived as an integrated group, for mix and matchability, the collections will be sold as open stock. The collections include a range of square-shaped items.
Swing, Jive and Combo make up the Tempo collection-three highly stylized, free-flowing floral applications in dramatic colorations. The collection has a sophisticated, contemporary flair, with black and wine-red dominating the color palette. The Island collection, so-named for its lush, tropical floral design and exotic look, features deep blue tones and earthy greens.
The three patterns are Blue Harbor, Blue Lagoon and Blue Isle. The two collections are completed with the introduction of matching stemless glassware made of a lead-free material that contains magnesium. Two patterns, one complementing each of the two collections, are applied by a sandblasting technique on the clear, stemless bowls in two sizes, a red wine and a white wine.
Retail prices range from $15 to $125.
There are two new glassware collections. Mag, made with the same magnesium-based formula, is available in both stemmed and stemless versions, with a clear bowl design. There are six sizes-goblet, flute champagne, white wine, red wine, stemless red wine and stemless white wine in six sizes.
The retail price is $50 for a boxed set of four. Fidelio is an elegant, formal stemware pattern featuring an optic shape, a twisted stem and metallic accents, both on the rim and at the top of the stem. It is available in both gold and in platinum, and in four sizes, priced at $22.

ODIOT From Odiot, which is being distributed by Julia Watts, comes the Gold Berry collection, including a fruit bowl and candleholder, and the Demidoff service, re-edited versions of silver pieces commissioned in 1817, including a tureen and a double salt cellar. ONEIDA Oneida is offering two new dinnerware patterns, Atlantis and Solare. Atlantis is a classically inspired seaside pattern done in hand-painted earthenware.
The collection's organic shapes and textures are highlighted with the color combination of a cream base partnered by soft distressed accents. Solare provides an updated approach to reactive glaze, using a luster glaze to create a metallic sheen to each color and pattern. The collection includes a wide range of color, pattern and shape.
PASABAHCE Pasabahce is introducing the Denizli by Pasabahce Collection, which includes the Love double votive holder, the Adrian pierced decanter collection in clear and chocolate and Amanda stemware, which featured thick rounded stems and are available in a goblet, wine and fluted champagne. PORTMEIRION Following on the heels of the success of Botanic Roses, an exclusive dinnerware collection for Federated, Portmeirion's Design Studio created Rose Bouquet for the casual segment of the market. The pattern features an all-over medley of roses in several colors.
The company will also unveil line extensions to the successful collections introduced in the spring, including Sophie Conran, Laura Stoddart, Botanic Blue and Crazy Daisy, as well as Botanic Garden and Pomona (including textiles). Four new items for Blue Danube will also be shown. PRECIDIO Precidio's new Collection line includes a tray with handles, platter, shaker, salad plate and coasters in the following patterns: cobalt, inlay, ostrich, snake, zebra and leopard.
There are also canisters in spa blue and white. PRIMA DONNA Prima Donna Designs is showing the Classique Collection, which was introduced early this year. In this collection, original artwork designs were transformed on dense glass platters.
Among the patterns in the collection's Botanicals are Fleurs de Provence, Maison de Jardin, Garden Herbs and House of Orchids, all artworks by Angela Staehling. The patterns come in 14-inch square glass platters and a set of four assorted 6-inch-square glass dishes. Also from the Classique Collection are the tapestry artworks by Lehman Laurel on glass platters and dishes.
Matching the platters' look and colors is a set of four 6-inch-square individual lily portrait dishes. RAYNAUD Raynaud is highlighting Ombrages, which retails for $366 for a five-piece place setting, and Petit Trianon, which retails for $300. RCR RCR is offering the Fusion collection of glassware under its FreeLife by Royal Crystal Rock brand.
The design combines two geometric elements, the cube and the sphere, in a modern collection of drinkware and accessories. REED & BARTON Reed & Barton's introductions this market include additions to existing collections, as well as a wide assortment of new designs and concepts. In addition to a new stainless-steel flatware pattern, new items range from silver-plated children's gifts and frames to crystal giftware, stemware and barware to handcrafted wooden chests.
Riverton is the new 18/10 flatware collection, featuring crisp fluting and architectural hollow-handle design. It retails for $52. A new polished-aluminum collection, The Arbor, features dramatic, nature-inspired shapes that go from freezer to oven to table. Prices range from $25 to $125. A second aluminum line, MetalWorks, includes sets of salt and pepper shakers designed by Ran Lerner (Cone, Maracas and Caddy).

Two crystal collections debut from Miller Rogaska. The Weston Caged Collection reflects the centuries-old art of European glass blowing, in which artisans hand-blow molten glass into intricate wire cages to achieve these sculpted, dramatic shapes. The Capri Collection, meanwhile, is defined by vibrant colors and contemporary shapes in which artists combined multiple layers of glass in shades of azure and cobalt, blue and amethyst, and azure and lime.
Prices range from $70 to $90.
RIEDEL Riedel is offering its Cornetto decanter, its best-selling decanter shape, in black. It will be produced in two sizes: The Cornetto Black single will retail for $195, and the Cornetto Black Magnum will retail for $235. RITZENHOFF Ritzenhoff is introducing several designs and whimsical additions, such as glasses for cocktails lovers and new colorful home decor accents.
ROSANNA Among Rosanna's highlights are Chelsea Flowers, dessert plates and platters adorned with vintage florals; Tea's Me, a set of two-toned teacups and saucers; Tea For Me, Too!, a tea set for children; Soda Fountain, ice scream bowls, soda cups and sundae bowls, as well as dessert plates, with a twist to '50s-inspired soda fountain favorites; and Playing House, dessert plates with mixing bowls and cake stands in soft shades. There is also Sweet Dreams, bowls decorated in 25 favorite ice cream flavors, sales proceeds for which benefit a non-profit organization; Parisian Wallpaper, black-and-white baroque designs on dishes, mugs and glasses; Wine Tasting, dishes adorned with descriptive wine words; Party Raffle, which includes six different plates, mugs, coasters and wineglass designs adorned with raffle numbers; and Etched Dot glassware. King's Road, a tea and dessert that features crowns in 24-karat gold; White Dinner Plates, scallop-edged dinner plates in basic white porcelain; Dauphine Candlesticks, inspired by 18th-century France; and Rosanna Bowls, simple bowls in six California colors and two sizes are also options.
ROSENTHAL Rosenthal is featuring A La Carte, a new Studio Line collection featuring six distinctive porcelain styles with organic, sculptural forms. The collection includes titanium-treated, copper-colored round and square chargers, as well as accent plates, bowls and candlesticks. The new Blockglas collection of vases and bowls have faceted cuts and irregular structures.
There are also three new Studio Line vases created by leading designers. The new Opening vase by the designer duo Little Wonder is a classically shaped vase featuring a neck that resembles shattered eggshells. New Vita grooved vases and bowls by Johan van Loon are crafted in white porcelain and resemble waves.
Taped vases by Pieke Bergmans are unusually crafted with porcelain bands taped around the form like a plaster cast. Rosenthal is also introducing Network, laced glass bowls by Harry & Camilia in the dramatic form of a tangle of glass threads. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its highly successful Suomi porcelain dinnerware pattern, Rosenthal has crafted the new Suomi Celebration collection.
New decor runs like a scissor cut across the porcelain in a fine gold-silver-gray appearance, creating a discretely colored accent on the white form. Previously successful Studio-Line vases such as Plissee, Tectonics, Flux and Tri-Turn, as well as the Studio-Line Table Wear Collection, Wave and Free Spirit candlesticks, shine in a new titanium-treated copper optic. Following the success of the Vase of Phases line, Rosenthal is introducing similarly styled cocktail glasses and porcelain bowls.
There is also a drinking glass series called Hula Hoop. In the Thomas division, the new No Limit 2006 porcelain collection reflects a modern lifestyle, an aesthetic design in an edited assortment of multifunctional products. The range includes 15 items. The No Limit 2005 line expands in six colors: red, yellow, orange, pastel yellow, pastel blue and pastel green.
The new Vanity line from Versace features a complex baroque design in hues of dark blue and gold. The Tresor de la Mer collection by Versace expands with an assortment of giftware, and the Arabesque sand-blown glass collection now features new Amber with a chic ivory shade. ROYAL CHINA & SPODE COS. RCPC has signed a licensing agreement with textiles designer Kim Parker for a new line of dinnerware, giftware and accessories under the Spode brand.
Parker is known for her use of rich color and intricate floral patterns. The initial launch includes two pattern collections called Emma's Garland and Chicory Hymn.
